One Finger Balance Rotation
(281k)
|
| Description |
A simple trick where the coin is moved from a balance
to a rotation and back to the balance.
|
| Start |
Hold the hand palm up and balance a coin flatwise on the tip
of the middle finger with
heads facing up.
|
| Directions |
- Quickly curl the middle finger
in to press the coin against the palm.
- Straighten the middle finger
and let the coin slide off the palm onto the first phalanx of the middle finger. The coin should now
be tails up.
- Curl in the middle finger
again. During the curl the coin should rotate 180º and the middle finger should be again
pressing it into the palm (pushing on the heads side of the coin).
- Straighten the middle finger
again and finish with the coin balanced on it in the starting position
with tails facing up.

Variations
|
This variation is slightly
harder but much nicer. The animation and video shows this variation. Start
as above.
- Curl in the middle finger
as above but press the coin against the palm near the base of the thumb.
- Remove the middle finger
and place it against the underside edge of the coin.
- Lift the coin up and slowly slide the middle finger along the underside
of the coin until it is near the center of the coin.
- Straighten out the hand to show the coin balanced on the middle finger.
