Index-Ring Toss![]() |
|
| Description | This is a fairly simple toss and catch trick. |
| Start | Start a coin held edgewise between the tips of the index and ring fingers. The coin should be parallel to the fingers. |
| Directions | Toss the coin lightly up and away so that it rotates
180º. Catch it flatwise between the thumb and index fingers. |
| Comments | Try and catch the coin at the closer edge so that as much of
the coin as possible extends out from the fingers. This makes it look
nicer. Once the coin has been caught push the coin over the back of the index finger as for a Heads Up Spin. Balance the coin on the middle finger with the close edge against the side of the ring finger. Move the index finger to the far edge of the coin to hold it in the initial starting position. |
| Variations |
You can increase the number of
spins during the toss. Try holding the coin as above but with the coin perpendicular to the fingers. Now toss it and catch it edgewise between the thumb and index fingers. A more interesting version is to start with a two coin stack. Toss it up as above and the coins should spread apart during the rotation. Catch them both in the same manner as above but each coin is now seperated. The final hold is similiar in position to the Spread Fan move, though it looks best if the coins arent touching each other. |
