The image above
shows the trick done with two Australian 50c pieces. These make the
trick easier as they have flat edges. Doing this with round coins is
much harder, if even possible.

Variations
|
There is a method for doing the
balance with round coins by cheating. Take a matchstick or toothpick
twice the length of a coins diameter. Position the two coins as in the
above balance but the matchstick is held between the thumb and middle finger
behind the coins, so that it is out of sight. The matchstick helps
support the coins making the balance quite easy. Now pass the coins to
a friend but keep the matchstick hidden and challange them to repeat
the trick.
